Putting up displays is always a work in progress for me. I've been doing a "Intro to Geography" with my Year 10 Geography class and some displays have gone up for them. I've also taken some displays down because of change of semester and sharing my classroom with different teachers. It's so rewarding to see students turning around and using the displays to help them with the tasks at hand.
These ones went up over Weeks 9 and 10, before the school holidays.

Well, being born in '96 and reaching 14 years old by the end of the '00s, I didn't really pay much attention to the fashion of the day. But when a chance popped up thanks to a casual day to raise money for ARA and the Cultural Showcase that my site puts on every year, well, I might as well have had some fun.
I kinda chose a blend of pop punk Avril Lavigne vibes and the kids loved it. It was rather fun to dress up for the day and do something different. Semester 2 is two weeks in and we've now reached the holidays - thankfully! I've started with my new classes and are thoroughly enjoying having them! When I left Flinders and started teaching, I never thought I'd like Geography as much as I do!
Term 2, what a ride! Lots of ups and downs, but it was a blast! Updated my history displays (at some point) to my final units and bought in another bookshelf to really show my students the variety I have in my classroom for them to use (in class, not take home).
Can't wait for Semester 2 (even though a week in at this point!) but equally looking forward to a break. My first conference in my teaching career - ever. 100% enjoyed it and would definitely be back to the HaSS SA conference next year. This one as held at Urbrrae Agricultural High School and it was fascinating to hear from one of their staff about how foods and plants are traditionally used by the Kaurna people (which is what the images are on). I also heard talks about resources that the Australian Tax Office has for teachers to use in their subjects, as well as a talk on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
